–Museum Of Sacred Art-Room San Giusto
The Museum of San Giusto, the result of a joint effort of the municipality and the parish, is the fundamental contribution of Suvereto to the Jubilee of the year 2000, point to a wider network of museums and cultural parks comprising the territory of the Val di Cornia and the Diocese of Massa Marittima-Piombino
His collection – sculptures, paintings, furnishings and vestments – testifies to the importance of Suvereto and his Church in the middle ages and early modern age, and the context in which it is placed, i.e. the building sandwiched between the ancient Parish Church of San Giusto and the main gate of the walled village, makes the Museum a must for any visitor to Suvereto.
The Museum, whose construction is being completed, welcomes the local artistic heritage, among which we highlight the polychrome wooden statue, attributed to Lorenzo di Pietro (14th century), known as Vecchietta.
