A marvellous town on the hills of Maremma, Montemerano has recently been included among the “Most Beautiful Villages of Italy”.

The village of Montemerano arose in medieval times, as a possession of the Aldobrandeschi family and is still one of the most beautiful sights of Tuscany.

In the streets of the old town you can still feel the medieval atmosphere of old times; narrow streets and ancient buildings are the backdrop to a town of great beauty and a view stretching from the hills campaigns.

Castle Square is probably the most characteristic and known corner. Very special and definitely worth a visit is the Church of San Giorgio, dedicated to the patron saint of the country and the city walls.
