Country hotel
Be ready to find here the authentic Tuscan soul. On arriving here you’ll certainly recognize the centenary cypress boulevard, the waves on the cornfields produced by the spring wind, the white poplars which sparkle along the banks of the river Ombrone. Here you’ll find a round central square, like one of those of the ancient rural Tuscany, with a well which was the main landmark of the peasants’ routine. And the manor tree-storeyed house being the symbol of the wealth which the tobacco, the corn, the livestock and more recently the olive oil brought to the owners.
Here in Poggio Cavallo you can stay in one of the four rooms with a loft, exposed beams and terracotta floors or in an apartment. Being functional and comfortable, these types of accomodation are provided with private toilets and have different distinguishing them colours which refer to the fruits and the seasons of the countryside: arbutus red, sage green, lavender blue, sunflower yellow…
The available apartments are
six: two-room apartments Glicine, Frantoio, and three-room apartments Rosmarino, Melograno, Salvia, Lavanda. Both the rooms and the apartments face the green loan so it’s possible to eat outside admiring the marvellous view of Tuscan hills.
The country hotel is very near to Grosseto but it’s far away from traffic congested roads and city noises.
